NUTRITION PROGRAM

First year BSc nursing students of Father Muller College of Nursing organized a nutrition programme under the guidance of Community Health Nursing Department, FMCON on 04.06.12 at Krishnanagar Marakada village, Bondel, Mangalore.

The inaugural programme started with a welcome address followed by cutting of watermelon by the dignitaries to symbolize inauguration. Professor Mrs. Irene Alvares, HOD Community Health Nursing, FMCON, Mrs. Babitha, Sthri sakthi sangama leader and anganwadi teacher, Mrs Lalitha, Sr Merlit, subject co-ordinator of Nutrition & Dietetics, Mrs. Shiji P.J, and Mr. Balarama V.R were the dignitaries present for the program. Professor Mrs. Irene Alvares explained about the importance of consuming nutritious diet while she was addressing the group. Various therapeutic diets were displayed and demonstrated by the students during the program. The program came to an end with vote of thanks and distribution of sweets.
